Symbola - Camputers Lynx

Symbola means 'symbols' in Latin. Test your concentration and memory skills in two challenging mini puzzle games !
In the first mini game, you have to Find the pairs. A deck of cards made of 10 pairs is shuffled and the cards are placed facedown. Pick a card with the cursor to reveal it. Unpick it to hide it. Pick two cards to reveal them and gain them if they match.
In the second mini game, your goal is to Find the missing one. On the left panel, select the symbol that is missing on the right panel. Be careful as you get only one try. If you choose the wrong one, the game is immediately over !
Symbola has been programmed in basic for the Camputers Lynx 48K/96K.
This game was submitted to the Retro Programmers United for Obscure Systems - Camputers Lynx session - Game Jam of July-October 2023.
The cover image was mainly made with DALL·E 2.
CONTROLS
Use the [LEFT], [RIGHT], [UP] and [DOWN] arrow keys to move the cursor.
Press {SPACE] or [RETURN] to select/unselect a card or a symbol.

Install instructions
Symbola runs exclusively on the Camputers Lynx 48K/96K.
To load and run the game on the Jynx emulator:
- Launch the Jynx emulator
- Open the "Symbola.tap" file from the "File/Run TAP file ..." menu of the emulator
- Wait for the cursor to appear again on the screen. The game is loaded.
- Type RUN then press RETURN key
Alternatively, you can directly open the "Symbola_type_in_text.txt" file from the "Text/Type in text from file ..." menu of the Jynx emulator. After a moment, it will be launched automatically.
